It is really no coincidence that I choose Hump Day as the day to introduce my new, weekly ritual of announcing our famous male f.a.t.ty selection of the week. What is a f.a.t.ty? No, it’s not a stogie, it’s a Fit After Thirty Hotty. Here at Fit After Thirty, we love men, and what better way to show our admiration than to pay tribute to the dudes who fit my criteria to win this esteemed title!
What’s my criteria for a Fit After Thirty dude selection, other than being over 30, you ask? Well, Wednesday is hump day. Use your imagination. If you’re offended by that, think of it this way: men talk about women in terms of how “do-able” we are, all the time. So, let’s just be equal opportunity players in that game. Or, I’ll be the lone player and you gals be the spectators. Here we go!
You may be surprised by my selection today, but Alec Baldwin is on my mind, because he was in the news this week for voicing anger at his show’s network, NBC. There are not many actors that I find sexy. For whatever reason, as far as celebrities go, if I’m going to gawk, it’s usually over a musician or athlete, but Mr. Baldwin is one of the few movie/tv guys whom I find captivating.
He’s talented beyond belief. Physically, he’s still got it. Those eyes. Those lips. That hair. But it’s the whole package that makes him sexy as hell. First of all, it takes either a large set of balls or a genius PR mind to drive him to bite the hand that feeds him and call his employer out like that, and regardless of which it is, it’s hot. Kinda crazy. But hot.
The man oozes passion from every pore of his body. He is blunt and up front, and never politically correct. That kind of honesty - to say what’s on his mind - the good, bad, and the ugly - is refreshing in these days where image reigns king, and everyone is nauseatingly canned and contrived. Who wants a Phony Baloney who says only what others want to hear?
Although some choose to hate him after hearing the ugly message he left on his daughter’s cell phone awhile back, and certainly he could have chosen his words with more care, it is actions that define a man; and how do you not respect a dad whose actions have consistently shown a dedication and desire to maintain a relationship with his daughter after a divorce from her mother?
And when times were good with Kim Basinger - remember how passionately devoted and in love he was?Remember the tears of pride he shed from the audience when Kim won the Oscar? Hell, the man not only chose to marry her when she had a mind numbing amount of debt, but like a chivalrous knight in shining armor, he went above and beyond the call of husband-duty, and paid it off for her! Then again, relative to his net worth at the time, it was probably equivalent to what a hundred bucks is to you and me, but still!
So there you have it. Alec Baldwin is the Fit After Thirty Man of the week! I’d love your comments on whether you agree!!!

Alec Baldwin’s best feature is his sense of humor, I think (OK maybe I can agree with some of your observations). His finest moment is still the “Scweddy Balls” skit on SNL.
